The University of Bristol Veterinary School has been awarded full accreditation of the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA). Bristol's Veterinary School is now one of only seven veterinary schools with AVMA accreditation in Europe.
The AVMA accreditation is based on a rigorous evaluation of educational standards, research, teaching, student experience and clinical delivery and the Vet School’s newly accredited status reflects the high standards it upholds.
Alongside the Vet School's other accreditations, the AVMA accreditation means that BVSc Veterinary Science graduates can now practise anywhere in the world (July 2019 graduates onwards and subject to completion of the NAVLE exam for work in the USA and Canada). Future BVSc AGEP Veterinary Science graduates will be able to practice veterinary medicine in the USA and Canada (subject to completion of the NAVLE exam).
